Producer/Director Steps Up Activities on Constitutional Film

Re-Orientation to the Constitution is Goal of Film; Necessity Increasingly Evident, Says Producer

(LOS ANGELES, CA) – Film producer and director Norm Novitsky (http://www.normnovitsky.com) has increased the pace of efforts on his constitutional feature film “In Search of Liberty” after expressing his concern over what he calls “the declining adherence and attention paid to our founding document by today's lawmakers and citizens.”
Novitsky's feature film “In Search of Liberty” is fully scripted and, with a short introductory film completed already [available on request], Novitsky says the filming should start in the near future. He has reiterated his eventual plan to see this film completed and placed in the hands of every elected official and legislator in the country.
“What we're seeing in this society is a further and further departure from the intentions and ideals envisioned by our Founding Fathers, and embodied in the Constitution,” says Novitsky. “This is the main factor behind our economic problems and behind arguments in the media about what the government should 'allow.' It's just ignorance or deliberate neglect of our Constitution.”
Novitsky cites the argument of 2nd Amendment advocates vs. gun control activists: “A clear reading of the 2nd Amendment, and of other writings of our Founding Fathers, leaves no doubt that their direct intent was an armed populace as a safeguard against governmental tyranny. But in the media, very few articles on this debate even touch upon the actual purpose of this amendment. Instead, they will talk about 'commonsense limits' to magazine sizes and how 'dangerous' guns can be. That's the point—they're dangerous to potential tyrants!”
He continues: “The Founding Fathers saw the danger of an over-reaching government directing every aspect of the lives of its people, and they sought to prevent that with the Constitution. The Tenth Amendment—which says that citizens and state governments have the greatest rights, and the federal government only has the specific powers listed in the Constitution—is proof of that. Only utter disregard for these limits could lead to the vast powers enjoyed by 'Uncle Sam' today.”
Novitsky says his film will “visually demonstrate the application and relevance of the Constitution” to modern-day America. “That's why I'm so intent on this,” he says. “This is what this country needs: re-orientation to the Constitution and our founding principles. I want to give it that push in the right direction.”

Constitutional Film Maker Likens the Constitution to Tenets of a Successful Business

(LOS ANGELES, CA) – Film producer and director Norm Novitsky (http://www.normnovitsky.com), who is currently working on a feature film entitled “In Search of Liberty,” says that his film will visually show how the birth of a new nation adopting a well thought out and brilliant doctrine, the US Constitution, has given rise to the most powerful and wealthiest nation in history. Along with being a filmmaker Norm is also a successful business man and attributes his success in sensible, fair practice policy adopted and followed, resulting in a business organization’s success. When principle policies in an organization is violated and not followed deterioration of that business results and so it holds true with the US Constitution and we are now seeing a once wealthy and powerful nation in decline.
“The need for successful principles and policies should be obvious to anyone who has successfully run a company, or studied well the subject of business administration. What might not be so obvious is how this fact, and other fundamentals of the business world, apply in the realm of our government. That's where we are going in this film.”
Novitsky, who has recently recommended several basic sources on the US Constitution and its relation to current events, says this education is important “because it's basic policy. You wouldn't go to work for a company without having any idea of their senior policy, and you certainly wouldn't try to run the company without knowing it! And yet in our society, we neglect constitutional education and then wonder why we have such a mess economically.”
Asked what he plans to accomplish with his film, Novitsky gives a far-ranging goal: “Ultimately, I want to see to a complete reorientation of our country to its basic founding policy: the Constitution. The first step in that direction is education - not only in our schools, but of those currently in office. We have a very gregarious [friendly] president, but the question we need to ask, of him or any other elected official, is not 'how likeable is he?' It's 'how well does he know, and how willing is he to follow, the fundamentals in our Constitution?' Before I'm through I want to see a copy of this film in the hands of every US elected official. I think we'll see a new light dawning thereby.”

Producer Norm Novitsky Urges Public to Really Learn About the Bill of Rights

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Film producer and director Norm Novitsky (http://www.normnovitsky.com), who is currently working on a feature film entitled “In Search of Liberty” about the U.S. Constitution, is urging the public to learn more about the Bill of Rights and recommended a list of online sources.
Norm Novitsky stated "We have a lot of dialogue and controversies going on today about some of the issues contained in the Bill of Rights. One example is the Sandy Hook tragedy and the response of the President and Senator Feinstein urging more restrictions on gun ownership. Yet if you read the Second Amendment it says that the rights of the people to own guns shall not be infringed. That means what it says and its meaning is pretty clear. It's important to understand why the Founders felt that needed to be in the Bill of Rights, and to even understand what has happened in other countries where gun ownership has been banned. And it's even important to understand the eventual goal of people urging gun bans and restrictions, which I believe is clearly to ban guns altogether. The argument for more stringent gun control laws by gun control advocates is weak if not entirely inaccurate, case in point the city of Chicago. Chicago having one of the highest rates in crimes, lethal or otherwise, by the use of firearms, yet has one of the toughest gun control laws nationally. That's just one example but it underscores why it is important to learn about the Bill of Rights, this important legacy left to us by the Founding Fathers."
Novitsky recommended the following online sources for learning about the Bill of Rights:
Norm Novitsky's current film project, “In Search of Liberty” (http://www.insearchofliberty.com), is the story of a family that gets taken on a series of wild adventures by a statesman from America’s past. Key aspects of the Constitution are presented throughout the film, as well as the real reasons behind attempts to destroy Second Amendment rights. The film’s creative team includes writer/producer Tom Solari and director/producer Eric Sherman. Novitsky is producing the film through his production company In Search Of Liberty LLC
“The buzz and dialogue regarding the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights continues to escalate,” says Novitsky. “When you really understand this amazing document, you can begin to better take control of your life and protect your liberties."

Producer Norm Novitsky Recommends List of Sources of Study on U.S. Constitution

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Film producer and director Norm Novitsky (http://www.normnovitsky.com), who is currently working on a feature film entitled “In Search of Liberty” about the U.S. Constitution, is urging the public to study about the Constitution using books and online sources.
Norm Novitsky stated "Unfortunately today schools don't teach much about the Constitution any more. And so people don't realize that the Founding Fathers were extremely well educated men, who thoroughly studied history and how different governmental systems had worked in the past. I believe this has led to a widespread lack of knowledge about and understanding of the Constitution, leading some to think it is outdated, which it definitely is not. Being uninformed of your liberty and rights under our Constitution will not be an excuse for why you let the door open to tyranny and enslavement. The Constitution is still as relevant today as the day it was ratified. It is this historically, magnificent document that has protected its citizens from the likes of fascism, socialism and communism. Norm encourages people to study about the Constitution online, and there are quite a few excellent books on the subject, and I want to urge people to learn more about it."
Novitsky recommended the following online sources for learning about the Constitution:
Novitsky recommend the following books on the Constitution:
"The Making of America: The Substance and Meaning of the Constitution" by W. Cleon Skousen
"The People's Guide to the United States Constitution" by Dave Kluge
Norm Novitsky's current film project, “In Search of Liberty” (http://www.insearchofliberty.com), is the story of a family that gets taken on a series of wild adventures by a statesman from America’s past. Key aspects of the Constitution are presented throughout the film, as well as the real reasons behind attempts to destroy Second Amendment rights. The film’s creative team includes writer/producer Tom Solari and director/producer Eric Sherman. Novitsky is producing the film through his production company, In Search Of Liberty LLC.
"The wisdom contained in the Constitution has contributed to the fact that the U.S. has become the most prosperous country in the history of the world. If people forget that and try to make the U.S. into something else, it will not be as prosperous and we will lose many of our cherished freedoms," concluded Novitsky.

Producer Announces Development of Feature Film on U.S. Constitution

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Film producer and director Norm Novitsky (http://www.normnovitsky.com) has announced the development of “In Search of Liberty,” a new feature film on the U.S. Constitution. The movie tells the story of a family of four that gets taken on a series of adventures by a charming statesman from America’s past. Using logic, humor and magic, he opens their eyes to the origins and importance of the Constitution, why it is currently under attack and what can be done to save it.
Novitsky, who calls the film “a game changer,” says the government’s continuing corruption of the nation’s founding principles has fueled public interest in the Constitution and restoring its primacy.
“In Search of Liberty increases public awareness and understanding of the Constitution, and in an entertaining and educational way, exposes the government for the frightening house of horrors that it really is,” says Novitsky.
Important Constitutional amendments are explained in the film, including the right to freedom of religion and speech, the right to bear arms, warrants for search and seizure and States' rights.
In the Fourth Quarter of 2012, Novitsky conducted an online survey to gauge public interest in a film based on the Constitution. Nearly 100% of the 1,700 survey respondents stated they considered the U.S. Constitution an important document, and 84.4% indicated they would be interested in seeing a feature film on the topic.
The movie’s creative team includes writer/producer Tom Solari and director/producer Eric Sherman. Solari has worked as an entertainer and comedy writer on major network TV shows and Sherman has been a directing and production consultant to several top studios.
“Recent events have prompted a national debate on the subject of the Constitution,” says Novitsky. “Our intention is to produce a film that will inspire Americans to take action against anyone trying to subvert our constitutional rights and freedoms.”
